Do not pour the leftover liver of sulphur down the sink until it’s neutralized. This will occur naturally with exposure to air and water, but you can speed up the process with baking soda. Make sure to flush the drain with running water afterward. Alternately, neutralize it with baking soda and pour it onto sawdust or kitty litter and let it dry outdoors before disposing of it in the garbage.

1 Mix up liver of sulphur solution in a plastic tray, using warm water and a couple chunks of the liver of sulfur. In the second tray, you’ll have plain water for rinsing. Deryn has everyone go outside in the parking lot to do this, because liver of sulfur is really smelly stuff.
